As you may have heard earlier this week, Nike released their plus size line, providing clothing for women sizes XL–3XL, after first being announced this past summer. This is a huge step towards inclusivity, as women from all shapes and sizes don’t necessarily need to have a smaller figure in order to be considered fit and healthy. Nike promotes a healthier lifestyle by proving comfortable workout wear, and now carries bras up to the size 38E.
“We know that body weights are distributed differently for everybody and as we look at plus size, there is more variance,” said Helen Boucher, Nike’s vice president of women’s training apparel. Women should be able to feel comfortable no matter what they do or what they wear. Unfortunately, internet trolls have attacked Nike for their newest line.
