Starbucks Now Has Avocado Spread & We Can’t Even

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Marist chapter.

Starbucks was bound to hop on the avocado train eventually, and that day is finally here! While the popular coffee chain won’t be selling avo slices straight from the berry (yes, avocado is a fruit), they will make your life super convenient by mashing it into a spread and packaging it into convenient, on-the-go containers.

Starbs creates this concoction by smashing avocado, sea salt, onion, jalapeño, and lime juice. Pretty much guacamole, but we’ll take it. It’s designed as a bagel topping, so if you’re like me and love bagels but are not the biggest fan of cream cheese or butter, this spread is for you.

The best part? The price! We all know Starbucks isn’t exactly the place to go while looking for something inexpensive, but this new spread is only 95 cents each! Accompany it with a bagel, and you’re looking at a $3 breakfast. A small price to pay for some healthy fats in the A.M.

The avocado spread comes along with Starbucks’ new health-oriented menu, which debuted just in time for the start of Spring. Next time you’re searching for an easy, affordable, and healthy breakfast option, definitely head to your nearest Starbs.
