In a city as interesting as New Brunswick, inhabited by a diverse community consisting of students, commuters, residents, and corporations, events are easy to come by but finding one of quality is the trick. Within the Rutgers community there is a plethora of tastes and interests, which surely there is something for everyone. Is there the opportunity to do everything? I can definitely say we are approaching that level as Rutgers clubs and organizations come up with new ideas and attract great talent. With this track record, it isn’t hard to believe that one of Rutgers’ very own alum is hosting the city’s 1st very own music festival. Dubbed Brunsaroo in tribute to a familiar current music festival, Brunsaroo is native to our city.
Quirky and creative this music festival features a variety of bands and artists local and not so local. There is a great line up and it’s over the course of 3 days! How legit, right? There are tickets available for a very reasonable price on Facebook, and the festival will be showcasing some great talent from our very own community. The event will also host other performance and visual arts such as dance, poetry, theatre, and visual displays. Additionally, there will be some exclusive coveted coverage by Rutgers’ very own TRIM Magazine. Held at the secretive and hip location coded “The Bunker”, Brunsaroo is sure to be a hit!
