On Saturday April 8th, UNCW Dance Company had their 10th annual showcase in Kenan Auditorium with this year’s theme being Odyssey: A Journey Through Dance. Emily Greene, pictured above, is a freshman at UNCW majoring in marine biology and this is her first showcase with Dance Company. Her team, Energy, is dancing to the song “Castle” by Halsey, which tells the story of powerful women determined to be the best they can be and to strive for success. Energy’s costume, pictured above modeled by Emily, is a simple black leotard and a flowing maroon high/low skirt with a separation in the front. This outfit shows the elegant simplicity captured by the dancers as well as the color theme of maroon and black to represent power. Way to go UNCW Dance Company!
