Sometimes the holidays just sneak up on you. This year, if you’re scrambling for some last minute Easter crafts to do when your family and friends come over—or if you just want to spruce up your house—these are the crafts for you!
1.) Sock Bunnies
Supplies:
- Socks
- Rice
- Twine
- Scissors
- Ribbon
These sock bunnies will definitely brighten up your day! First, fill the foot of the sock with rice until you get to the beginning of the heel. Shape the sock into a cylinder, and then pinch off part of the sock to form the head of the rabbit. Tie this part off with twine or ribbon. Then tie off the top of the sock to form the bunny’s ears. Cut the top in half to form the bunny’s two ears and mold them into oval-shaped bunny ears. Then you can sew on a nose and two eyes, or use a marker. Now you have a fun sock bunny to display around your house for Easter!
2.) Easter Mason Jars
Supplies:
- Easter candy (jellybeans, chocolate eggs, etc.)
- Mason jar
- String or ribbon
- Colorful Easter cloth
All you need to do for this craft is to set up a table for your guests to choose from different Easter candies. Then, they can make their own candy jar and display it around their home or to eat whenever!
3.) Flower Pots
Supplies:
- Basket or Clay Pot
- Wheatgrass
- Acrylic Paint
- Flowers or Easter lollipops
This craft is fun and easy, and can be made at a party or on your own time! Paint clay pots with Easter pastels and use markers to write Happy Easter on them. Then place wheatgrass in the pots. You can then choose what to put in your pots, whether it’s Easter lollipops for your guests or fake flowers that you can pick up at your local craft store.
4.) Eggs
Supplies:
- Hard boiled eggs
- Paper towels
- Bowl
- Tongs or spoon
- White vinegar
- Water
- Liquid Food Coloring
You will be in the Easter spirit before you know it with these colorful DIY eggs! First, cover your surface with newspaper or paper towels. Then, fill your bowl with ½ cup of boiling water, 1 teaspoon of vinegar, and the food coloring of your choice. Put one egg onto your spoon and dunk it into the water until the entire egg is covered in color. Carefully remove the egg and let it dry. Repeat with the other eggs until you have a bunch of Easter eggs!
5.) Flower Centerpiece
Supplies:
- Egg Carton
- A Dozen eggs
- Flowers
- Water
Delight your guests with this beautiful homemade centerpiece! All you need to do is make a small hole at the pointy end of each egg. Rinse out each of them. You can then choose to do whatever you want with the eggs, dye them or leave them plain white. Then place each egg in the carton with some water in each. Pick some flowers from your garden and place them in each of the holes. Now you have a bright floral centerpiece that your guests will love!
