I thought after I heard about Beyonce’s twins, nothing else was going to top that news. But then the news of Serena Williams being 20 weeks pregnant shock my whole world and the first person I had to tell was my dad. As a family we grew up loving the Williams sisters because of how well they dominated the tennis field.

I mean I played 4 years of tennis just because my father insisted that I would be like Serena. Tennis was good to me but being like Serena Williams was really a stretch. But the one thing that bothered my christian parents was that Serena was successful, beautiful and smart but had no husband, no kids.

I thought it was weird too, because my parents said it was weird. However, I soon admired her even more for her dedication to her career. I constantly had to explain to my parents that this is her prime and if she stops to create a family, she might not get her prime back. She worked hard to get where she is now, and I love the fact that she out her career first. With her in mind, we should all believe that we need to set goals and achieve them before it’s too late. Serena is on top and now she can relax with her fiance and her new incoming baby. She has made her mark already and has set the bar real high.

So that’s exactly what she did, now let’s go through her accomplishments..

Grand Slam finals

Singles: 29 finals (23 titles, 6 runner-ups)

Women’s doubles: 14 finals (14 titles)

Mixed doubles: 4 finals (2 titles, 2 runner-ups)

Olympic finals

Singles: 1 (1 gold medal)

Doubles: 3 (3 gold medals)

Year-End Championships finals

Singles: 7 finals (5 titles, 2 runner-ups)

Tier I / Premier Mandatory & Premier 5 finals

Singles: 32 finals (23 titles, 9 runner-ups)

Doubles: 2 finals (2 titles)

Now in 2017 her biggest accomplishment is winning her 23rd Grand Slam singles title, which marks the record for the most Major wins by a tennis player in the Open Era. And she won that title while she was pregnant.

I can barely move when I’m bloated.

I’m sorry Beyonce, 2017 is Serena’s year.
