Anyone who has a polaroid camera will most likely be able to relate to the following:
1. When someone asks you to take a picture of them
Y`know that`s cool film only costs me $10+ dollars for ten pictures though….
2. When you ask someone to take one for you and they cut off your feet or otherwise misframe it
Ugh. Just ugh. On the rare occasion these turn out cute but for the most part its just super frustrating.
3. Wanting to decorate your walls with polaroids but not wanting to over-do it
My friends! Memories! I could take up the whole wall if i really wanted..
4. Looking into cool or unique ways to display the pictures that your friends haven`t done before
Who doesn`t want to be a `trendsetter`and make their place look cool?!
5. The struggle of deciding whether or not to bring your camera with you to events
Will it fit in my bag? Do I really want to risk damaging it? Do I really want a polaroid of this?
6. Trying to decide if you want to buy film in bulk online or just as you need it in stores
What if the film online is faulty or not from a legitimate site??
7. Being drawn to Polaroid related items in stores
Urban Outfitters always has super cute Polaroid things.. ahh can I afford it though!?
8. Wanting to take pictures of your friends but then having to decide whether you`ll give them the picture or keep it
I mean that picture cost me a dollar!
9. Figuring out where to store the polaroids
Do I keep them in a box? Get a polaroid photo album? Put them on a corkboard in my room?
10. Trying to decide whether you should caption or date it
I love the look of just a white border but if you caption it cutely it can totally be worth it! Decisions, decisions.
11. The struggle between deciding what film to buy
Do I get regular? Patterned? Black and white? I mean I`m committing to have the next 10 photos be like this…
12. When people start shaking the freshly-taken polaroid
Even though the song says “shake it like a polaroid picture“ – do not!!! That cringeworthy moment when your friend shakes it and then asks why its blurry..
Overall, Polaroid cameras are awesome. Let your creativity fly when it comes to taking them, displaying them, and decorating them!
