Meet Our New CC: Olivia Arasim

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

Introducing our new Campus Corrispondent, Olivia! Olivia is currently studying abroad, but will be back on campus next fall to work with Vanessa and run HCBC. Get to know her!

Name: Olivia Arasim

Major: English and Economics

Year: Junior

Position in HCBC: Last semester I was the Marketing and Publicity Director as well as an editor and next year I will serve as the CC.

Favorite Spot On Campus: I love Stokes Bridge for studying in between classes.

How long have you been involved in HCBC?: I’ve been a member since my freshman year.

What is your favorite part about being a member of HCBC?: I love being able to write creatively, and about topics outside of the academic field. Within Her Campus, we have the ability to write about whatever interests us, whether it is beauty, fashion, food, or academics. I think that this freedom allows Her Campus to really stand out, which I love. I also enjoy being able to meet people outside of my classes.

Why Did You Decide To Be CC?: After spending the past few years as a member of Her Campus and seeing the club grow, I really wanted to take on a leadership role that would allow me to work closely with Nationals, as well as all of the other members. I’m looking forward to expanding the club by becoming more engaged with our readers. I’m excited to see what next year brings and I’m hoping that it will be the best one yet.

Favorite Class at BC: I’ve had many great classes at BC, but my favorite was Introduction to Christian Theology with Professor Stephen Pope.

Hardest Class at BC:  Microeconomic Theory

Favorite Memory at BC: My favorite memory was when BC beat USC, and everyone stormed the field. It was the beginning of my freshman year, but it is still one of my fondest memories.

Where are you Studying Abroad?: I’ve been spending the semester in Dublin, Ireland.

What do you miss most about BC?: I miss the familiarity and seeing my friends on a daily basis, as well as the city.

Advice to Freshmen: Take advantage of every opportunity, whether that be joining clubs, attending talks on campus, or exploring the city. The time goes by so quickly, so make the most of it.
