Despite the oh-so-chic French name, Glossier has always been an American company through and through. After all, you could only buy its cult-favorite products in the US—until now. To the relief and excitement of its international fanbase, Glossier has just made the life-changing announcement that it will be expanding its borders. “Glossier Goes International,” exclaimed the headline on their latest blog post, and soon Canada, the United Kingdom and France will be able to buy Glossier products without scouring eBay or taking a cross-Atlantic flight. While Glossier’s expansion won’t technically be happening everywhere, it’s still a big step for the brand and it’s promising for more expansion in the future.

Canada’s launch is only less than a month away! Since one of the country’s primary languages is French, Glossier has to create an entirely new website to make sure their customers can read the product descriptions. They promise it “will be up and running as soon as we can get all the right accent marks in all the right places.” Next is the UK, homeland of their COO, Henry Davis, and their Creative Director, Helen Steed. Finally, there’s France in 2018. Merci beaucoup.

Glossier’s products have become iconic in recent years (YouTube is full of tutorials and reviews), and we can’t wait for their Boy Brow and Cloud Paint to be available worldwide. Emily Weiss, Glossier’s Founder and CEO, hints that might be a reality sooner than we think. “We’re working our hardest to make Glossier global,” she wrote in the announcement. Until then, we’ll just be celebrating this first expansion.
