5 Fun Pairs of Jeans That Will Make you Forget About Your Classic Skinnies.

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at LMU chapter.

I genuinely can’t remember the last time I bought a classic blue pair of skinny jeans, and I do not even want to.  I have been much more drawn to all the exciting new styles of denim I have been seeing everywhere. This includes but is not limited to sequins, patches, embroidery, ombre wash, fringe and ruffle hems, etc. When embroidered jeans became a thing recently I was fully onboard, besides the fact a good pair cost upwards of $150. However, I am happy to say I can finally fulfill my dreams of embroidered jeans for a much more reasonable price. This is especially great because I feel like this switch to specialized denim has totally elevated my style game. Before it felt like my top portion of my outfit was all the excitement and the only options for pants were dark or light washed.

The other great thing about this trend is it is so easy to DIY. Take some scissors and give your old jeans a new life with fringe bottoms. Add patches or sequins to make them one of a kind.

And don’t fret, they are not as difficult to style as they may seem. It may seem like embellishments and embroidery ruin the versatility that is fundamental to denim, but they are truly just as wearable, trust me. You can simplify them with a graphic tee or plain shirt, or take it all the way with a funky top. These jeans allow you to create even more creative and personal styles while maintaining the casual vibe jeans ensue.
