Bachelor In Paradise: Week 5 Recap

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Providence chapter.

Like every Monday and Tuesday, my friends and I crowded around the couch to watch Bachelor in Paradise. Although this season has be one of the most uneventful seasons of Paradise yet, this week was one of my favorites. Here’s my some of my reactions to all the drama that happened this week:

1. How does someone with the nickname “Scallop Fingers” have more men interested in her than I have had interested in me during my entire collegiate experience?

I’m sure Christen is a great girl, but so am I! The fact that Scallop Fingers has three attractive, intelligent and somewhat successful men chasing her and I can’t even get a boy to answer my “this-looks-like-a-mass-snap-but-it’s-really-just-for-you” snapchats is discouraging.

2. Thank you, Kristina!!!

Remember when she literally compared being on paradise with being in the orphanage because of how Dean was treating her? Well she finally put an end to that toxic relationship! Her early life struggles makes her a badass so I can’t believe she let Dean treat her that way for that long.

Important side note to the ladies: Learn a lesson from Kristina’s mistakes and do not ever wait this long for a boy to choose you. You are all amazing and if a boy has to think about if he wants you or another girl, trust me, you do not want him.

3. How can I be more like Raven?

I’m a little biased but Raven has been my favorite character in the history of Bachelor franchise (by the way Alexis, I agree. Nick was the worst Bachelor in the history of Bachelor franchise). In Paradise, Raven’s true colors are really showing and I’m falling even more in love with her. I love that Raven told Kristina her honest opinion about ‘DLo’ and Dean instead of telling her friend what she wanted to hear. She’s not afraid of honesty and that’s something we could all embrace.

4. WHY ISN’T WELLS ON PARADISE

Wells is the best choice for a future husband on that island. My heart melted when he asked Kristina “why are you fighting for someone who isn’t fighting for you” because it showed how caring he is. Not to mention the fact that he’s attractive, funny, and charming. Overall, he’s great and I’m angry that Chris Harrison sent him to be permanently in the friend zone.

5. HOW DID THEY GET STARBUCKS ON PARADISE????

Did anyone else see Jasmine sipping on that Starbucks cup? No further comment needed.

6. Who told the twins to come back?

They are the most self-obsessed and dramatic girls so I have zero clue why Chris Harrison wrote “saved the best for last”. Their ‘I-don’t-care-about-your-relationship’ attitude is alarming and proves that these girls some serious maturing to do if they want to come back to season 5.
