Thoughts On Your 20th Birthday

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UGA chapter.

I recently celebrated my 20th birthday (an occasion bound to happen to every collegiate) and I experienced a variety of emotions. Here, I go through the phases of denial and acceptance of being another year older as told by our favorite movies, television shows and celebrities.

When you first wake up…

When someone asks how it feels to not be a teenager anymore…

The first time you say “20” when someone asks how old you are…

But despite the fact you’re no longer a teenager, your family still gives you gifts for your birthday…

Looking back on your teenage years like…

Thinking about all the things you’ll do in the next decade…

And there’s less than 365 days until 21, another important birthday…

But until then, just enjoy being 20!
