College has started and fall weather is approaching. Living on a hall or in a suite with other people and sharing the same space undoubtedly causes the dilemma that has been dubbed: The Freshman Plague.
Here are 7 tips to save yourself from this inevitable outbreak or from spreading it to those around you:
1. Wash your hands!
Obviously! Just have a good sense of general hygiene to cease the spread of germs!
2. Drink lots of water
Wash all the toxins and nastiness out of your body! Water is essential and sometimes we forget to drink a sufficient amount it! Bring a water bottle with you to class and keep hydrated!
3. Exercise
Exercise helps your body fight sicknesses and decrease your chances of getting a cold and other nasty aches and pains!
4. Try not to eat junk food
This can be difficult on a college campus. Chick-fil-a is just so accessible and delicious… Don’t let it tempt you! Keep your immune system in tip-top fighting shape with a balanced diet that includes fruits that are high in vitamin C and some leafy greens!
5. Get rest
Your body is at its weakest and most susceptible to sickness when it is tired! Make sure that you are getting plenty sleep at night!
6. Get some sun!
Go outside! Soak up the sun and get some vitamins!
7. Feel sick? Don’t go to class
Please. Please don’t think that you just can’t miss class. If you are sick, don’t spread it around! Stay in bed!
