Pumpkin Spice Pizza is a Thing And I Can’t Even

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at New School chapter.

As you probably know, Friday, Sept. 22, was the first day of fall. Which means, PSL fanatics are finally allowed to run wild in their sweaters and scarves, even though it’s a million degrees outside.

In an effort to be a part of the pumpkin spice bandwagon, Villa Italian Kitchen announced the intro of the chain’s first-ever Pumpkin Spice Pizza. That’s right folks, just go back to bed because this is happening.

According to a company press release, each Pumpkin Spice Pizza is made with Villa Italian Kitchen’s hand-stretched, homemade dough. The dough is then topped with pumpkin pie filling (which is loaded with the spices of the season, nutmeg, clove, and cinnamon) and 100 percent whole-milk mozzarella.

Additional dollops of pumpkin pie filling are then added on top creating the most extra pizza pie you’ve ever seen.

“We are excited to celebrate the official kickoff of fall with the launch of the Pumpkin Spice Pizza,” Director of Communications and Digital Marketing Strategy for Villa Italian Kitchen, Mimi Wunderlich said. “There’s no denying that everyone loves pizza, so combining our hit Neapolitan Cheese Slice with the delicious fall flavors of pumpkin spice just made sense. We are confident that this seasonal twist on our beloved cheese pizza will be a hit with all of our pumpkin spice loving guests this fall!’”
