I love breakfast food so so much, at any time of the day! But when I first came to St. Louis, there was such a horrifying lack of breakfast information–the terror! Below, I’ve included a list, in no particular order, of the breakfast places that keep me human and going both night and day!
1. Rooster
Rooster is seriously the best. They have everything from crepes to omelettes, and their coffee is bliss in a cup. Also, the aesthetic is seriously on point–cue cute breakfast pics! I highly recommend the roasted apple crepe with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
2. SouthWest Diner
If you love breakfast food and spicy food, this place is seriously the best of both worlds. The ‘Jonathan’s Famous Fiery Scramble’ is actual deliciousness. The restaurant’s also got this really old-timey, western feel, which is seriously cool on the right days!
3. Tree House
Tree House is for all you breakfast-loving vegans and vegetarians! The vegan donuts come very highly recommended, and the place is seriously the nicest.
4. Uncle Bill’s Pancake House
Uncle Bill’s Pancake House is a lifesaver. The place is open 24 hours, so if you’ve had a long night, seriously just go to Uncle Bill’s. Also, their portion sizes are humongous, so lots of leftovers!

5. MoKaBe’s Coffeehouse
MoKaBe’s has some bomb hot cocoa, and you can read about really cool social justice issues while you sip on it! I also 10/10 recommend this place for a quality study session.

6. Courtesy Diner
Courtesy Diner has the best vibe ever, and is also open 24 hours! I highly recommend combining any of their breakfast foods with any of their shakes, highly unorthodox I know, but it’s seriously the best. Also, an important side note, Courtesy Diner only takes cash, so no cards! However, they do have an ATM in the diner.
7. Grand Hall
What? Yep, Grand freaking Hall has some quality breakfast in my humble opinion, especially if you don’t want to go off campus. Skip the eggs, they’re a little questionable, and please try the french toast. You will not regret it. Also, if you’re patient enough to stick around and have an omelet made, they’re the best too.
