Fall is my favorite time of year, and it is even better now that I get to share this season with my boyfriend Blake. Although he lives 5 hours away, we see each other every 2 weeks and always have the best time. These date ideas are fun, inexpensive, and will leave you with tons of fun memories to look back on.

Go for a Hike

As the weather gets cooler here in Tallahassee, there are so many beautiful parks and greenways to enjoy. Our favorite is Tom Brown and Layfette Trail Park, both have amazing, well-marked trails that are close to campus. Pack a picnic lunch and explore, it’s a great way to spend the day. Bonus points if you get caught in a monsoon and dance in the rain (which we might have done this weekend).

Visit a Pumpkin Patch

Nothing says fall like a trip to the pumpkin patch. Get lost in a corn maze together, go on a hayride, and bring back some pumpkins to carve at home.

Take a Bike Ride

Instead of driving, go on a bike ride to breakfast or explore campus. This is a fun way to get out in nature and see Tallahassee, you can ride on some trails too!

Go to a Football Game

Saturdays in Tallahassee are all about football! Although we are not doing the best this year, the games are still such a good time. Make a game out of it by kissing every time FSU scores!

Painting With a Twist

These painting classes are so much fun, don’t worry if you are not super creative. The class is taught by an instructor who give you step by step instructions. You can bring snacks to eat, and you get a keep sake to take home that night!

Go Camping

Take a camping trip to a state park for a relaxing overnight date away from it all. Make a bonfire and have supplies to make s’mores!

Watch a Scary Movie

Considering fall is the most spooky season of the year, you are pretty much required to watch a scary movie! Make some popcorn and snuggle up. We watched IT a few weekends ago and I haven’t looked at red ballons the same ever since.

Go to the Rez

The FSU Rez has tons of fun things to do. Paddleboard, canoe, kayak, or play some beach volleyball. You could also try the ropes course for a real challenge.

Game Night

Plan a game night in with your friends. Our favorite games to play are Scattegories, Apples to Apples and Headbands. Put out some snacks for everyone to enjoy, and get ready to laugh.

Have a Spa Night

Light some candles, put on some face masks and rub each other’s feet. Now I know not a lot of guys would do this, but I am a lucky girl. My boyfriend is the best, and he treats me like a queen. Girls, get yourself a man like this, and if you are not finding one, just wait, he’s out there I promise. All girls deserve a Blake. I love you babe, here’s to many more date nights with you xoxo.
