Having Trouble Balancing Assignments While Still Trying to Enjoy Homecoming Week?

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at GSU chapter.

October is here, and along with this month comes HOMECOMING! But that’s not all October brings. Midterms and tons of papers come right along with it, so with all the fun events happening on campus it can be difficult to find that balance of knowing what events you can miss to attend those study sessions or get those papers done. It may not feel like there are ever enough hours in the day to make sure those grades don’t slip and to ensure that your homecoming week was “lit”. However, with some organization, prioritization, and tons of coffee you can defiantly manage to get things done.

Prioritization is a major key! School should be your number one priority because we all know college is an investment where we have goals. So when you feel upset because you might have missed that homecoming block party to stay in your dorm and finish a paper just think about how you’re going to benefit from that. Your grade for that particular class won’t drop and homecoming is not over, so you can be at the next event having a blast and free from worries.

Staying organized and not procrastinating on assignments is also very beneficial. You will begin to feel less overwhelmed if you already began studying for that test or got a head start on that assignment. If you do decide to ditch homework and head to a homecoming event you won’t feel as bad because your work has been started days before its actually due.

So, if you’re currently reading this while doing nothing else you might want to get a start on those assignments. You’ll be ready to support your Panthers and show your school spirit at the upcoming events. Let’s finish homecoming week off with a bang and memories you won’t forget.

Happy Homecoming! & Don’t forget to VOTE.
