As we seniors are now more than halfway through our “last first semester” of college (or, for some, the last semester ever), it’s time to start thinking about what we want to accomplish as the end of our college careers creeps up on us. From must-eat at restaurants to sight-seeing, there’s a lot to fit in throughout these next few months. Here’s a few suggestions to get started on the “must-dos” … if you haven’t already gone yet!
1. Visit Stone Mountain
Whether you actually do the hike up or take a cable car, you can’t miss out on this ATL treasure. Pro tip: if you’re feeling adventurous, go early and watch the sunrise. It’s worth a few hours of missed sleep.

2. Christmas Lights at Atlanta Botanical Gardens
The Christmas lights festival at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens is an amazing way to light up your holiday season – pun intended! Hit up this fun scene with friends and make sure to have your cameras out – you’ll want to capture the beauty (and of course get an Instagram out of it).

3. Walk the Beltline
If you haven’t already been, make a day trip or evening activity and visit either Ponce City Market or Krog Street Market. Both markets are connected by the beltline, so take your pick! Enjoy a delicious meal, get some dessert, and then take in the beauty of the city as you walk the beltline and look at the cool art along the way.

4. Hit Up The “Triangle”
If you head into the heart of Atlanta, the CNN Center, Georgia Aquarium, and World of Coke all form some sort of triangle, and you can’t leave here without hitting up all three. First of all, the CNN Center is unreal. Okay…I may be biased given that I’m kind of a journalism junkie, but the CNN Center is honestly the coolest place ever. Also, how can you go to “Coca-Cola University” and not visit World of Coke? To be honest, it wasn’t my favorite place, but you do get to sample a million different types of cool soda flavors at the end. Plus, you kind of just have to do it to say you did it. Just go.

5. Make Your Mark
While this isn’t a specific suggestion, it is nevertheless an important one. If there’s something you’ve always wanted to do to make an impact on this campus, now’s your last chance. For many seniors, second semester spring means a lighter class load – so why not use your extra free time to do it? You’ll be happy to have done something meaningful for future generations. I mean, as weird as it is to think about it, your own children could one day be Emory legacies and benefit from it!
