Meet Alex: the incredible RA of CM’s Southeast wing! Her story to how she came to Gonzaga is one that is not very typical. Alex only applied to one school, and has been doing everything in her power since she was fourteen to come to Gonzaga.
Alex has idolized her sister-in-law who attended Gonzaga, since eighth grade. Her sister-in-law turned her older brother’s life around and now they both have two incredible children and great jobs. Alex knew in order to go here she would have to work hard in high school and earn a decent amount of money. She managed to get a job at fourteen and was the valedictorian of her high school class, putting her right on track to achieving her dream.
Since being at Gonzaga, she feels passionately that it is everything she imagined college would be. She is a Human Physiology major and hopes to be a physical therapist.
She says her best advice for freshman year would to be to expose yourself to many opportunities but not feel pressured to commit to all of them! As an RA, Alex sees a decent amount of isolation in the dorms and she advises that the best thing to do is to put yourself out there in activities because even if you don’t stick with it, you may make some great friends along the way!
