10 Disney Memes for Those with Questionable Humor

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Regent chapter.

As a person with questionable and sometimes twisted humor, I would just like to say that I added memes to this list while I was doing my regular scouring of the internet looking for entertainment. All the memes here caught my attention or amusement for one reason or another and I would like to give you all a peek into my twisted mind. NOTE: This is not as bad as it could have gotten. I tried to keep it PG for the ‘normie’ readers.

1. What a way to deflect a pickup line. I am a fan of these, personally because the reactions are always hilarious. Instead of simply rolling your eyes, try one of these deflector lines. They’ll add a little wit and wonder to the drab pickup lines that for some reason haven’t faded out with time.

2. The funniest thing about people that can’t be trusted? They know they can’t be trusted. Now, Rapunzel ignored Flynn’s (a.k.a. Eugene’s) obvious untrustworthiness, but I’m sure some of us find his blatant self-assessment amusing, if not relatable.

3. If you’re a person that tends to overreact and be some type of “-zilla” over nothing of great importance, this one is for you. For some reason, seeing someone antagonizing others over something trivial is funny to me- on television and in movies, of course.

4. I honestly don’t know why I’ve found this one so funny. It’s no secret that Disney has profited from some questionable themes, but this one from the Beast perspective just seems so fresh. Then the face he’s making is so awkward in still frame… still making me lol.

5. This is one of those memes that’s funny because it makes use of a catchy song. The fact that it tells part of the plot of Tangled, but also speaks of something so highly irrational makes it humorous. Anyone who has seen the movie knows that Gothel steals the baby because the baby is basically the flower. It’s one of those things you’ll only get if you’ve seen the movie or at least are familiar with the plot.

6. Like the last meme, this one also shows part of the plot while simultaneously simplifying it to the point where questionable morals emerge and the entire premise seems more ridiculous than it ever did when you were three.

 7. Anyone who has spent ridiculous amounts of time derping around on the internet knows that there are some places where you can find some great- and questionable- things. Make one wrong turn and you end up in a sea of questionable fanfictions or memes. Or was that a right turn? Of course you want to share your new findings with someone and this meme illustrates two very different reactions to the nonsense of the internet.

8. Simplified plot + questionable themes + use of millennial lingo = Humor

9. Look at the look she’s giving him! I can’t deny that many times I’ve pondered whether I would talk to a stranger just because they’re attractive. I keep trying to tell myself I wouldn’t, but…

10. Stills from Disney’s House of Mouse which often satirized Disney films and characters. This one was especially humorous because of the joke that Belle and Beast wouldn’t have puppies which played on the bestiality perspective of Beauty and the Beast.
