The Best Bath & Body Works Candles for Winter

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at TCNJ chapter.

For me, Bath and Body Works candles are best around November and into the Christmas season. They signal an end to a rough semester, and the weather gets cold enough for you to light a candle (as long as you’re not in a dorm room) and sit in a fuzzy blanket. Here are some of my favorite candles, which, by the way, are all on sale now too!

1. Cinnamon Caramel Swirl: This is a sweet mixture of vanilla, cinnamon, and caramel that is strong enough to scent your home without coming off too strong. It’s perfect for transitioning into cold weather, and reminds me of oversized sweaters.

2. Smoked Birch: For those of you who like something woodsy and a little stronger, this fragrance has a mix of birch and cedar, and makes me feel like I’m sitting in front of a fireplace.

3. Salted Caramel: I am in love with caramel. So it’s no surprise that the majority of my candles have caramel. This is for those of you who love Salted Caramel Mochas or the Caramel Brulee lattes at Starbucks. It isn’t very strong and I have burned through this candle in two weeks.

4. Champagne Toast: If you’re already playing Christmas music and can’t wait to get together with friends and family, this candle will be perfect for you. Lighting this really makes me wish the semester was over so I can deck myself out in ugly Christmas sweaters.

5. Marshmallow Fireside: One of their most popular scents, this candle was able to combine marshmallow and woods without being overwhelming. It is also somehow appropriate for both Thanksgiving and Christmas feels.
