The hottest trends for the fall/winter have been revealed in every fashion show from NYC to Paris. Although the weather may be getting a bit chilly, we can still turn cute trends into some of the most versatile looks without having to bundle up to our eyeballs.

To recap: Pantone, a company that heavily influences the fashion and product development world, released their colors for the Fall 2017 season back in February. The fashion industry is extremely fast paced so it is important to stay ahead of trends at all times. Designers start making their collections two seasons in advance. During fashion shows that debut in the fall, they show collections that will be in stores during the following spring and vice-versa.

The colors that were deemed all the rage for this style season are variations of neutrals and cool tones. This is a refreshing take on fall fashion because we often see warmer tones making their debut this time of year.

Trending Now

Forever21 is majorly diving into every trend this season. The stores are merchandised into sections by theme, right now if you go into Forever21 you will most likely see a faux fur coat section with tons of vibrant jackets to choose from. Then, there will be a grunge section that will cater to all of your graphic tee needs. This is where you can find all of their faux leather goods, fishnets, and sparkly bodysuits.

Plenty of fashion destinations are stocking up on corduroy, sock boots, and crushed velvet. A lot of these trends were prevalent in the summer as well so it will be interesting to experiment with pieces meant for opposite seasons.

Chunky and funky sweaters are super hot right now as well. I’m not talking about your average turtleneck either. Sweaters have progressed into high fashion items. Keep an eye out for bell sleeves, ringlets, embellishments, and bows incorporated into everybody’s favorite winter staple.

This may or may not come as a surprise to some, but Stranger Things graphic tees have been popping up everywhere from Hot Topic to TopShop.

With the way the fashion industry is progressing, our favorite runway looks are more accessible than ever. Lots of designers allow people to shop the runway directly through an app which usually means the clothing will be offered at cheaper prices. Fast fashion retailers like Zara take expensive trends and turn them into stylish yet affordable pieces for everyday people to get their hands on.

Style Tip

Rock fishnets with a long sleeved bodysuit and layer it with a corduroy overall dress for the perfect Fall ensemble for any occasion. Pair this look with some statement booties for the extra wow factor!
