Do’s and Don’ts of Frat Parties

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SMU chapter.

Throughout your time in college, there is a good chance you will attend at least one fraternity party. While these parties can be extremely fun, if not approached responsibly, they can also be dangerous. For this reason, I have concocted what I believe to be the most important things to remember when attending a fraternity party. Here are some “dos and don’ts” to remember when going out!

DO: Pour your own drink

DON’T: Trust everyone you just met

DO: Cover yourself and wear appropriate clothing

DON’T: Do or say anything you might regret

DO: Go with a group of friends

DON’T: Go home with someone you don’t know

DO: Keep yourself and your friends accountable

DON’T: Ditch someone who may need help
