We already know that Justin Bieber’s mom is a *huge* fan of his rumored girlfriend, Selena Gomez — but it sounds like Selena’s family may not feel the same way toward Justin.
According to People, Selena’s family seems less than thrilled that Jelena is back on again — which is likely why the couple will not be spending Christmas together this year.
“Justin’s family always loved Selena, but Selena’s family is still not happy about her seeing Justin,” a source close to Justin and Selena told People. “Selena doesn’t bring Justin to any family events. Selena is spending Christmas with her family. As of now, Justin is not invited.”
Justin’s lack of an invitation to the Gomez family’s holiday celebrations could also just be part of Jelena’s new low-key approach to their relationship this time around. After all, Selena also reportedly did not feel ready to bring Justin home for Thanksgiving this year either — which is totally understandable considering she only broke things off with The Weeknd just over a month ago.
Luckily though, it seems like Justin is taking the necessary steps to get himself back in Selena’s fam’s good graces. He is reportedly is trying to show Selena that he’s changed and has become a different person throughout the years they’ve spent apart — so there’s definitely still hope for a rekindled relationship, it just may take time.
