5 Things to Leave Behind at School for the Break

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Framingham chapter.
  1. Any Schoolwork

Take this holiday time to yourself and forget about school! You put in so much hard work this semester you deserve a much needed break! Leave those notebooks and old exams stuffed in that dorm desk drawer and forget about them for this month.

2. Any Clothes that You Haven’t Worn Recently

I am definitely guilty of over packing, but to help reduce that you should only pack clothes that you love and can be mixed and matched throughout the holidays. I promise you won’t miss that top that you swear you’re going to find an outfit to style with, but have yet to. This saves room in your suitcase for all the new clothes you’ll bring back!

3. Any Bad Times

It’s the holiday season! With all the fun activities happening during this time of year it’s time to make some new memories and leave the bad ones at school. Take a vacation, make some homemade hot cocoa with your best friends or get out there and volunteer your time. Whatever makes you happy!

4. Any Fears

The New Year will be here before you know it, so when making those New Year’s resolutions remember to leave anything you’re scared of at the school and in the past. Don’t bring the worry home with you! By the time you head back to school you will have changed and become a stronger person, ready to face those fears you left behind.

5. Any Food From the Dining Hall

Go home and enjoy some real food! Whether it’s from your fav hometown restaurant or straight from your own fridge, just enjoy the unrestricted hours and not having to swipe in. Not eating on campus can mean not eating regularly three times a day, but hey it’s your break! Eat whenever!
