1. You start to do weird things
When you do weird things around your bff, it makes total sense – singing Taylor Swift in Starbucks or twerking your way around Target are totally appropriate and expected social behavior. But, when she’s not there, you actually notice the strange looks people give you. You also start to question everything you do because you’re not sure how to actually behave in public.
2. You forget how to make decisions by yourself
Should I buy Starbucks today? Do I have any homework due? What should I eat for dinner? I DON’T KNOW, because these are not questions that I’m capable of answering by myself.
3. You talk to other people (ew!)
You find that there are lots of opportunities in your everyday life to have conversations with people you don’t normally talk to – because you’re usually laughing about weird things with your friend. You might be pleasantly surprised about your ability to get along with some of these people; but for the most part, it’s just like, “you SO don’t get me.”
4. You are grateful
Just like that cheesy expression people always say: “you don’t know what you have until you’ve lost it.” I mean, I already knew she was a rad person and a total HBIC, but living without her TOTALLY made me appreciate when she’s around.
5. You are proud of her
If your best friend leaves you for a week it’s probably for a good reason – and you’ll realize that she’s out there doing bad bitch things and you’re totally proud of her for that!
