Riverdale has got the world’s attention, and if you’re like me, then you’re absolutely obsessed. It’s the Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill and Pretty Little Liars type show we have all been waiting for and season two is coming to an end. Although season three is currently unconfirmed, but there is good reason to believe there will be another season considering the shows positive ratings.

If Riverdale has trapped you like it has me, then you’re probably in love with the cast. Betty, Veronica and Cheryl are absolutely gorgeous, while Jughead and Archie aren’t too sore on the eyes either. Have you chosen a side yet? Are you Team Archie or Team Jughead, or maybe like me, you love them both. If you haven’t made up your mind, keep reading to see why everyone loves Riverdale’s man candy.

Archie Andrews

I mean, look at him. Despite some naivety and poor relationship choices in season one, Archie makes a comeback in season two that makes you fall in love. But, his best friend Jughead Jones makes a little transformation of his own, too.

Jughead Jones

From the nerdy, lonely boy that represents teen angst in every sense of the term, Jughead Jones is sweetheart turned bad boy. He goes through a dark phase and loses Betty for a little, but his transformation is definitely a good one. I fall more in love with Jughead each episode.

So, what do these boys have to offer? Keep reading.

Archie is an Artist

Archie shows us his soft side in season one when he starts writing songs. Isn’t that adorable? This boy can sing, play the guitar, and write songs- talk about the total package.

Jughead is a Journalist

Both boys have their artsy sides, and you really get a sense of their passion. Jughead is a brilliant and well-spoken writer that captivates us through his narration. When he writes for school papers, he doesn’t stop until he gets the truth, and I like a boy with a little dedication.

Archie is an Athlete (in three sports)

We first meet the football player who has to step up when team star, Jason Blossom, is murdered. And boy, Archie Andrews can rock a football jersey and some sweat. In season two we learn Archie normally plays basketball (could he get any sexier?), but decides to take on wrestling to impress Mr. Lodge. I wouldn’t mind watching Archie wrestle.

Jughead is a Bad Boy

Archie is the golden boy, but Jughead brings out every girl’s secret bad side when he throws on his serpent jacket and trades in his old life for a family. Jughead absolutely slays the bad boy look, enough so to bring out a little dark Betty at a serpent rally. What would you do for Jughead Jones, Southside Serpent?

Archie is GORGEOUS

Not to state the obvious, but Archie Andrews is the definition of man candy. He’s the second coming of Zac Efron, but now he’s our age? His sweet smile and naive eyes give the sense of a lost puppy dog and all I want to do is hug him and cuddle with him. How could you say no to that face?

But did you see Jughead on that Motorcycle?

But wow, Jughead on a motorcycle took me somewhere else. Don’t get me wrong, I love Archie and think he is adorable, but watching Jughead slip into that serpent jacket like it was made for him and then hop on this bad boy really made me question whose side I was on. A bad boy with a motorcycle is what your parents always warned you about.

Archie’s Body

I mean, I think it speaks for itself. We get a lot of shirtless Archie and this is definitely not a complaint. Whether he’s gross and sweaty from work and practice or all lathered up in the shower scene with Veronica, Archie is a hottie with a body.

Jughead’s Intelligence

Jughead’s intellectual persona is hard to resist. As the narrator of the show, Jughead is able to consistently show off his exquisite writing skills and viewers are captivated by his lyrical narrations throughout the show. His contrast to the intellectually-dull Archie plays up this aspect of Jughead even more, but I still can’t pick one.

Archie will Fight (Literally) for You

Archie may be a little hard-headed and make irrational decision, but he fights for what he loves. He stands up to The  Southside Serpents multiple times, but even stands up to his own teammates when they try to get into a fight with Jughead. His protective instincts over not only Veronica, but Jughead and Betty are extremely attractive. Archie Andrews will never stop fighting for you.

Jughead Will Protect You

Jughead is ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE when he is dating Betty, and even after they break up. You can tell how much he cares about Betty, especially with the little scenes scattered throughout the seasons of the couple cuddling. Jughead is always there to hold her, comfort her and protect her.

And finally, what we ALL want to know. Who is a better kisser? You decide for yourself.
