If spending a few hours drinking some of the best wine sounds like your perfect Saturday evening, then this event is definitely for you.

Hosted by Tallahassee’s finest, the 2nd annual Tallahassee Wine Mixer is back this Saturday, March 24, from 4 pm to 9 pm. Madison Social, Centrale Pizza Parm & Bar, and Township are shutting down Woodward Avenue to bring out over 50,000 ounces of wine for those aged 21+ to taste. In addition, there will be food, wine games, and activities taking place all evening.

Tickets range from $15 to $30 (excluding tax) depending on your wine tasting interests. A $15 ticket will get you a discounted ticket and an event t-shirt to wear to the wine mixer. A $20 dinner ticket includes one side salad, an appetizer, and one pasta dish; reservations required. And last, but certainly not least, a $35 ticket gets you admission to the Tallahassee Wine Mixer, a tasting glass, and unlimited tastings. Yep, we said it: unlimited tastings. Many of last years’ wine mixer attendees are ecstatic about the return of this fun and delicious event and are looking forward to the festivities this year.

“Maybe I’ll get really dressed up and drink wine all day,” writes one Facebook user.

            “Let’s gooooo,” writes another.

With unlimited wine, delicious food, and fun activities like Centrale’s wheel-o-wine (in which you have the chance to win prizes like dinner for two, coupons and more spins) it’s no surprise that Tallahassee’s Wine Mixer is such a big hit.

Tallahassee’s local businesses are beloved by the community and it’s refreshing to see how close-knit and appreciative businesses are of one another for helping out.

“We just want to give a huge shout out to Visit Tallahassee for helping to make The Tallahassee Wine Mixer possible!” Centrale posted on Facebook. “Visit Tallahassee aids the community by connecting the locals, as well as visitors, to Tallahassee culture, food, music, events, and more.”

As fun as this sounds for some, others might not be so into the “wine thing”- and that’s okay! There are other Collegetown events that might be of interest like Tallahassee’s first ever Coffee Festival on April 8th from 8 am to 12 pm. There are three coffee experiences- Lucky Goat, Catalina Cafe, and RedEye Coffee—that will have everything ranging from single-origin coffee to coffee infused beers. A $30 ticket includes coffee upon arrival, 10 experience tickets, and a commemorative mug (first 300 tickets only). A $25 ticket gets you the same coffee and experience tickets, but no mug. Whether you choose to drink it up at the 2nd Annual Tallahassee Wine Mixer or “espress yourself” at the first Tallahassee Coffee Festival, we know you’ll have fun. We are loving all of the events that Collegetown and the surrounding areas are holding and we cannot wait to see what experiences they’ll offer in the future.
