When someone says, “the youngest child has it the best,” they are not lying. Being the youngest with three older siblings has shaped my entire life. From the free hand-me-downs to the endless advice, I can confidently say I would not be the person I am today without my three older siblings to look up to. Although being the youngest child can have some downfalls–like your older brothers using you for all their schemes–I would undoubtedly say the positives outweigh the negatives. Here are some of the main reasons why being the youngest is awesome!

1. Your parents are way more lenient with you because they already did that whole “parenting thing” with your older siblings.

2. You can watch you siblings make mistakes and learn from them so that you don’t make them yourself. Basically, you can do almost everything right.

3. Your older siblings may think they have control over you, but really you can boss them around because you’re obviously “mom’s favorite.”

4. It makes you tough having any older brothers.

5. And of course, you always have people there for you with love and advice.
