What’s something people should know about you? -answered by a friend

If I’m making fun of you, that means I like you a lot and I feel comfortable around you. I don’t know why I do it; it’s just something I do.

Why did you choose Bryn Mawr, and why did you choose to stay?

I chose Bryn Mawr because I came from a really small high school and I knew I wanted to go to the east coast. At first I didn’t choose Bryn Mawr; it wasn’t until I took a tour did I realize that Bryn Mawr was the place for me, I can’t really describe exactly why it was–I just had a feeling. Then when I decided to come to Bryn Mawr it just felt right. I chose to stay because I liked it enough that and I never thought about not staying.

What’s your favorite memory from your time at Bryn Mawr?

My favorite memory from my time at Bryn Mawr was one night in the spring it got almost unbearably hot in my dorm so instead of staying sulking and sweaty in our dorm, my roommates and I decided to walk around campus. In our exploration we saw that the lights in the Great Hall were on so we went in. No one was there and the air conditioning was on so we decided to hang out there. And that was how we spent our night, running around and doing cartwheels in our pajamas in the Great Hall.

What’s  your favorite way to relax? / What’s your favorite method of self-care?

I like to call my mom. After leaving for college I’ve found that our conversations are more fun and thoughtful. I also always seem to call when my brother and sister are at home so she puts me on speaker and I talk to them too. And usually because I call later at night my mom will fall asleep and just talk to my brother and sister while they play video games until her phone dies.

What are your favorite spots in Bryn Mawr?

One of my favorite spots at Bryn Mawr is weirdly the downstairs computer lab in Carpenter. It’s really not aesthetically pleasing at all, but not a lot of people go in there except for me and my friends, so we get up to some weird stuff there when we’re procrastinating on homework.

What activities are you involved with on campus?

I work in Erdman and as a tour guide for Admissions.

What’s your favorite part about being a tour guide?

My favorite part is being a part of a prospective students decision making process and making sure I’m providing a real perspective of Bryn Mawr so that they can make the right choice and that I’m not glorifying the school.

Thank you for your time Claire!
