It’s strange to think that this is where I am. When I graduated from high school, I knew I was going to be coming to Kutztown for school but I didn’t know where I was going to go from there. To be honest, I still don’t know. This summer I have an internship lined up but not much of an idea from there. I have a few ideas on what I want to do, like getting my Young Adult novel off the ground, but nothing concrete just yet.
Still, I have so many people I need to thank for getting me to where I am now. My friends are some of the main people that come to mind. They kept me from panicking when it felt like there was too much going on. If I needed a break, they helped out when I needed it the most. When I needed them, they were there.
My family is the other group I need to thank. Without them, I probably wouldn’t have made it as far as I have. There is a lot I fight about with my parents, particularly my mother, and I really don’t agree with them more than half the time, but that’s family. Where would be all be if we didn’t have them?
This past semester has been the most difficult for me for multiple reasons. Without the people around me, I’m not sure I would have made it as far as I have. They’re the ones that I have to credit for this semester ending up as such success for me. If I have trouble again, I know who I can look to for help.
For now, I have to say goodbye to some of the friends that I have made here. I know I’ll still see them, some of them through social media because they post every five minutes (I’m looking at you Storm, kidding!) I’ll just have to keep looking to you guys for help if I need it.
