One Tree Hill may be long over and we’re all still heartbroken, but you might be pleased to hear what the future looks like for some of your favorite characters. Actors James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti—or Nathan Scott and Chase Adams if you want to be technical—gave their predictions about what they think their OTH characters would be doing now.
Lafferty and Colletti are now co-writers of a pilot called Everyone is Doing Great, and though this is their latest endeavor, these two had no problem diving back into their past roles and playing around with where Nathan and Chase might be today.
“I mean, probably still married to Haley … 17 kids running around,” Lafferty told Us Weekly of Nathan. Awww!Â
When it comes to Chase Adams, it seems he’d be living a more spontaneous lifestyle. “I think Chase would hopefully own a few bars at this point, probably a few music venue locations as well,” Colletti said about his character. “And yeah, hopefully just not dating somebody who’s somewhat of a rock star actress, maybe something a little more hometown … Little more humble.”
I wish we could see these characters now and compare these predictions to reality. A reboot has been discussed before, but obviously nothing has come of the talk, considering we’re all here left watching re-runs and re-opening our wounds about the show’s end.
Lafferty was sure to address this conversation and the possibility of a reboot. “We do get this question a lot,” Lafferty said. “And it’s super flattering because there’s nothing more validating than people saying they want to see more of something that you made, which is great. But first of all, not that much time has passed since the show ended. You kind of feel like a little bit more time should pass before a reunion happens. It’s like in high school, you don’t really have a reunion until 10 years out. Right? But aside from that, I don’t think you’re going to find anyone on the cast that would say no to it.”
So maybe there *is* hope for us yet! I guess we’ll just have to be patient, as per usual.
