Missy Elliot Surprised Her ‘Funky White Sister’ Mary Halsey on ‘Ellen’ & What Happens After Is The Best Thing You’ll See All Day

Ellen DeGeneres loves to bring viral Internet sensations on her show, and Mary Halsey is no exception. Halsey, also known as Missy Elliott’s “funky white sister” appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show because of her popular video where she covers Missy’s song “Work It.” Missy Elliott shared the video on Twitter, calling Halsey byb the nickname and it’s stuck ever since.

In true Ellen show style, of course Mary had to perform her version for the crowd live. The performance is great, but it’s even better when she sees the surprise she received. Get ready to smile from ear-to-ear because her sister surprises her on stage! Yes, Missy comes out and joins Mary, making the cover even more enjoyable.

Her face when Missy enters the stage is priceless, but the best part is how she still finishes out her cover with Missy, without missing a beat. Ellen always knows how to make people smile, doesn’t she? Now the real question is, when is Mary Halsey joining Missy on tour? Seeing the rendition go worldwide would be iconic, TBH.
