Five Tips to a Great Semester!
- Time ManagementÂ
Time management is the #1 way most people get tripped up though-out the semester. The best way to manage your time is to try to predict as far ahead as possible. If you know you have a midterm in two weeks, make sure you plan and set aside at least two days to study. don’t underestimate or overestimate your time, be reasonable!
- Stay Consistent
Don’t get cocky when you get that A on your first quiz of the semester! Keep that same energy you used to achieve that grade, and keep it going from start to finish. A great start but a lazy run to the finish-line could hurt you more than you think.
- Make Friends in the Class
Two minds are always better than one when it comes to studying. By studying in groups, you could combine notes and cover every base. You could even use fun studying tactics to take a different approach for preparing for a test
- Make Friends with the Teacher
Many teachers are willing to help students who they know work hard. Just by coming to class every day, and participating can help you if you struggle in class. The teacher will notice your efforts and be more forthcoming if you ask them for help.Â
- Don’t Forget to Have Fun
Focusing on only school and forgetting about your social life is a cause for disaster. Your social life is important as well, so don’t try to cram your life with just books.
