10 Things You Need to Know About the 2018 Freshman Tour

Have you ever wanted to attend a VIP concert without having to leave your campus? Shuffle is bringing back another year of their Freshman Tour event. Coming to 30 campuses nationwide, this tour gives you the chance to experience a concert, receive special goodies, and enjoy so much more with all of your friends—for free! Her Campus is not only sharing all of the details with you below, but is the key to scoring VIP tickets! We’ve rounded up 10 things you probably didn’t know (and definitely will want to know) about this year’s Freshman Tour.

1. The tour will be completely free!

Tickets for entry are free. Yes, F-R-E-E. All you have to do is select your campus online, grab a ticket, and be there early for some bonus surprises.

2. Her Campus is the key to getting a VIP bracelet.

We’ve got your back. Register and purchase a VIP bracelet through Her Campus for express entry into both the pop-up shop and concert! These VIP bracelets will enhance your experience and help you feel like the rock star you are at the event. You get access to special areas during the concert, express entry into different parts of the event, and exclusive swag only for VIP guests.

3. Subway, Insomnia Cookies, and KIND will be giving away free food!

Get there early to grab some free food from some of our favorites. Subway, Insomnia Cookies, and KIND are covering all of your snack bases, from something filling to something healthy (plus dessert).

4. Zaena x Jason Maek are performing.

The electronic/hip hop music duo, that won the 2018 EDM Artists of The Year, will be performing on the tour. Their new album, Freshman, is set for release a few days before the tour kicks off. The tour is being supported by Spotify, HipHopDX, Rap Nation, and Rolling Stone.

5. Rolling Stone will be bringing some surprise guests.

Speaking of Rolling Stone, they’ll be hosting a free concert starting at 7 p.m. For VIP tickets to the private concert they’re hosting, buy tickets in the pop-up shop!

6. (Almost) everyone gets a swag bag.

The first 500 guests to arrive get free swag bags, so be sure to get there at least a little early.

7. You can RSVP easily at FreshmanTour.com

Registering, even for free tickets, is super easy. Just visit the Freshman Tour website, select your campus, and fill out your information. You’ll be all set to enjoy this event!

8. There will be selfie walls everywhere.

Nylon magazine is sponsoring several selfie walls across each event, so be sure to snap some photos and post them! Nylon’s pop up activations are guaranteed to be amazing and will be set up in the pop-up shop between 2 and 7p.m. at each event.

9. Tumblr is helping people register to vote.

If you register to vote with Tumblr, it not only takes care of an important responsibility, but also gives you some exclusive VIP access and swag. Getting involved and having a voice couldn’t be more important today, so why not do it while you’re at a fun event and have the chance to get even more cool stuff?

10. Did we mention that the event is completely free?

Let’s recap: Entry to the event will be free. From 2-7 p.m. on over 30 college campus stops on the tour, there will be a pop-up shop complete with free swag bags, free food, selfie walls, music demo stations, a chance to register to vote, and a ton of activations! Then, from 7-10 p.m., attend the concert sponsored by Rolling Stone. If you decide to buy the Her Campus VIP bracelets, you’ll get access to HipHopDX VIP area where you can snag another swag bag. Oh, and most importantly, there will be more free food at the concert!

Celebrate with your friends and experience an amazing event for free (or score exclusive HC VIP bracelets). Trust us: this tour is one you will never forget!
