Her Campus Fall 2018 Fashion Guide: Top Trends to Follow

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at C Mich chapter.

If you’re the type to shy away from bold fashion statements of the fear of being too eccentric, then Fall 2018 is the time to open your mind to the endless fashionable possibilities. Her Campus breaks down the top fall trends to follow for an eye-opening wardrobe that’s extremely comfortable.

Neon Sparks

Either being in the crowd or just walking to class, neon hues are a sure way to stand out. You can pair a neon shirt or sweater with a solid skirt or jeans, or go even bolder and mix and match neon colors. Little neon accessories like earrings or a purse can go a long way from making an outfit look drab to fab.

Animals Prints

Embraced your inner wild side with bold animal prints like snakeskin, leopard or tiger prints. You can find various clothing in either neutral or other colors like red or pink.

50 Shades of Red

This hue is fiery, but not angry. When you work varying tones from head-to-toe, the result is actually quite pretty.

The Big Easy

Living large actually do has its advantages. Oversized coats and sweaters make a look 3-dimensional and chic. Try even multi-layering different coats and jackets for a comfortable, multifaceted look. Casual Kicks

Snazzy sneakers—platform or slip-on—are making appearances on the streets everywhere. Whether embellished with studs, checkered print or embroidery, these hot kicks are a must-have for fall. Pair them with flirty skirts, embellished jeans or track pants to add personality to your outfits. Remember to have fun with it and find shoes with wacky prints!

Statement Coats and Jackets

It doesn’t matter if you prefer a furry, color-block, or crazy ornate prints. These statement coats dominated the runways, whether alone or layered. All you need is a sleek pair of shoes to compliment the whole look.
