We all know it is that time of year! Fall is finally here and I could not be more ready. The chill in the air, leaves beginning to fall, pumpkin spice latte back at Starbucks and the smell of cinnamon in the air. And with fall comes some of the best festivals on Long Island! So to make your life a bit easier, I pulled together some of the best festivals happening soon!

1. 37th Montauk Fall Festival – October 6 & 7

Take a nice drive out to Montauk and enjoy the day! With activities for kids, like crab races, a carousel and pumpkin decorating and of course things for adults as well like beer & wine tastings, who wouldn’t want to go! To make things even better, on the 7th they will have Montauk’s Famous Clam Chowder Contest!

2. Long Island Oyster Festival – October 13 & 14

Every year this festival attracts over 200,000 people, so why shouldn’t you be one of them! They’ll have live entertainment, oyster eating and shucking contests, pirate shows and the best part is……FREE parking and admission!

3. Broadway Fall Festival– October 14

Looking for an excuse to head into the city? Here it is! This festival held on 86th-96th streets on the west side of broadway. It is going to be filled with all sorts of fun! From antiques to arts, crafts and entertainment, you are bound to have a great time!

4. Halloween Harvest Festival– October 27

Looking for something on the west end of Long Island? Then head over to Long Island City on October 27th for a day of face painting, cultural performance and costume contests! Located in Socrates Sculpture park, this day is bound to be loaded with art and fun!

I hope this helps get you in the fall spirit and that it gets you out to these festivals or ideas for other fun fall activities! Get out, breathe in the crisp fall air, eat some freshly picked apples and bake or carve some pumpkins! Happy fall, all!
