I used to think glitter makeup was just for music festivals or clubs, but deep contemplation of the subject has led me to a different conclusion – glitter should be worn on the face as makeup. Sparkly, majestic glitter falling across my eyelashes, rimming my eyes like liner and lighting up my lip gloss. It’s just so much more fun to include a little bit of glitter into your makeup routine! One of my personal favorite glitter makeup looks is glitter on the cheekbones, as a sort of crazy highlighter. Here are a couple of the best glittery makeup products to brighten up your makeup bag:
1. Too Faced Glitter Pop! Peel Off Eyeliner
Too Faced has come out with some pretty cool new products over the past couple of months, including a pineapple scented eyeshadow palette and banana powder. A wonderful recent addition to their massive collection of amazing products is the Glitter Pop! Peel-Off Eyeliner. It is available in eight different colors (Glitter Ghost, a shimmering white; a silver – “Super Fun Night”; Hey Mr. DJ, a bright gold; Lucky B*tch, a pale gold; Yes Way Rose, a baby pink; Kitty Glitter, a hot pink; a true purple – Fairy Queen; and Half Mermaid, a teal shade. An innovative film locks down glitter that stays put until you peel it off, making it last through all your adventures!
NYX’s Lip Lingerie has been one of my favorite makeup products of all time since it came out. The lipstick provides color that never, ever budges – until you put a hot washcloth with some cleanser on it at the end of the day. So when I heard that NYX had come out with a glittery version of my favorite lipstick, I just couldn’t resist. I bought three shades and you should, too. The majority of the shades look more nude than anything else, which can flatter many different skin tones.
3. Flower Beauty Warrior Glitter Shadow
Flower Beauty is Drew Barrymore’s beauty line that was initially sold at Walmart. I’ve always loved looking at everything that Flower puts out because of their attractive and flattering colors that they use for their products. The shades of the Warrior Shadow include an electric blue called Poison. Obsessed.
4. Ulta Beauty Strawberries and Champagne Hydrating Glitter Peel Off Mask
Ulta Beauty has come out with some wonderful fall face masks – and just when we thought they couldn’t get any better: they’re filled with glitter. Cranberry Crumble, Strawberries and Champagne, Pumpkin Cream Cake and Gingerbread Cookies make up the scents available. I won’t even lie – I ordered them all.
