Life’s Trials Have Nothing On You

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wisconsin chapter.

It’s that time again — a new semester — the beginning of a new school year. Even if school is not your scene, this final stretch in a year can be chock-full of responsibilities and stresses. Life really knows how to throw things at you, and in its entirety, life can easily seem like nothing but responsibilities and stresses.

Just take a step back. Breathe. Look at what’s around you, what you have and at what you can do with it. This time of year does not have to be overbearing; it can be a time of accomplishments, learning, growth and excitement. You are capable.

With every assignment on your syllabus or task written on your calendar, just remember that each one is a step forward. Today you are closer to your successes than you were yesterday. It doesn’t matter the speed with which you tackle them, just that you do, and you definitely can. You can handle anything, just look around at your situation and tackle it with what you have. That is all you can do, and that is enough.

Work for yourself: your past, present and future. There is bountiful strength in the act of having faith. When you believe you can do something, there is nothing stopping you.

I believe that everything happens for a reason and that everything the days bring you are meant to leave an impact on your life — no matter the size. The world needs you and the things you are meant to do. Remain focused and work hard on your passions and tasks.
