My brother is two years older than I am, and we grew up finding salamanders in the stream and painting my entire face by the end of a crafty project. I was raised a tomboy, and it taught me how to be tough and stand back up after being knocked down. Since then, I’ve graduated from his hand-me-down clothes to some cuter blouses and skirts.

Having a brother (and a dog brother, as well) was great; however, I always wondered what it was like to have a sister. I actually learned a lot about sister dynamic through movies like My Sister’s Keeper, The Hunger Games, and Frozen.

Girl’s Trip is about a group of friends that basically become sisters, and they remind me of my friends. I found sisters who I can lean on in times of need in high school and college. Girl’s Trip stars Tiffany Haddish, a comedian who tackles love and loyalty in hilarious ways. She stars in another movie this fall, Nobody’s Fool, which portrays a relationship between two sisters.

I decided to round up the most enviable sister duos in acting, athletics, music, modeling, and business. I grew up watching these women gracefully slay their dreams and aspirations alongside one another.

1. Tia and Tamera Mowry

From Sister, Sister to Twitches, Tia and Tamera grew up on T.V. A few years ago, the girls had their own reality show for us to take a peek into their marriage and family.

2. Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen

You got it, dude. The girls have done some serious growing up since their days as Michelle on Full House.

3. Beyonce and Solange Knowles

These women are models, dancers, singers, songwriters, and most importantly, sisters. Since being young, their mother was very careful to keep the girls close to one another which seems to have paid off.

4. Gigi and Bella Hadid

Our favorite sisters of the modeling world. Check out their latest video they made with their brother and mom.

5. Venus and Serena Williams

Venus and Serena are the queens of sports, and we’re here to support them until the end of time. They’re known for defying gender expectations while being badass babes.

6. Kylie and Kendall Jenner

Kylie is en route to being the first self-made woman to earn $1 billion, and Kendall is the highest paid supermodel. The Jenner sisters rule the world.

There are many dynamic sister duos that grace our earth. They are trailblazers for other women hoping to break into tough industries, and they deal with immense amounts of pressure from onlookers. It’s important to admire and support them.

If you’re like me, we must find the women in our lives that feel like the sisters we never had. If you’re lucky enough to have a sister, show her your appreciation every day. We can all feel the sisterly love this fall season in the theaters. On November 2nd, Nobody’s Fool comes out in theaters, starring Tiffany Haddish and Tika Sumpter. This film portrays themes of loyalty and undeniable love. It’s important to show our support to one another in times of success and failure in order to keep confidence, positivity, and independence alive.
