Halloween On A Budget

As Halloween approaches, to us college kids it’s not the typical holiday where we need one good Halloween outfit to go to a party on the weekend, but we need five. Halloween costumes can be expensive and once you wear them you most likely will never wear them again. With Halloween right around the corner, I found costumes right from my closet.
The first costume you can find from your closet is a Hippie. Grab those flare or bootcut jeans, find a tie dye shirt and you are good! If you want to go to the dollar store and find peace sign necklaces and glasses it will add to the costume even more. Do some hippie hair and makeup, maybe add a headband and you are now the perfect hippie.
Next is a biker girl or Sandy from Greece. If you have leather pants or leggings, then you are already a step ahead with this costume. But if you don’t, don’t worry all, you have to do is wear black leggings and a cute black top. Curl your hair, do bold makeup with a color pop lip and add a cute bag. This outfit is easy
and comfortable and all your friends will be wanting your costume.
A school girl is the best outfit when you are not trying to spend money. A cute plaid shirt or plain skater skirt, with a plain top. Add some glasses and maybe pig tails, whatever you are feeling in the moment. This is easy and very cute. If you want to be a little bold, add knee high socks and cute sneakers.
The easiest costume in the books goes to a black cat. This requires three items: a black dress, eyeliner and cat ears. Use the eyeliner to draw whiskers and a nose, the dress and ears pull the costume together.
Here are a few out of the many creative costumes that you can find in your closet. My best piece of advice is to look in your closet and try on many different outfit combinations to find the best costume of the year! Have fun…. Trick or Treat!
