With only one full season in the books, this spin off to Grey’s Anatomy is a prime example of a woman kicking ass and taking names. Set in Seattle, the series focuses on the lives of a group of firefighters at Station 19. Practically raised in the station, Andy Herrera is a strong leading lady. To give you a glimpse of her in action, when a boy started bleeding excessively, it was Andy who stuck her hand inside his body, becoming the only thing keeping him alive. Sometimes it is questioned whether these firefighters are too risky, but you will have to catch an episode to determine that for yourself.
2. How to Get Away With Murder

If you’re looking for something to keep you on your toes, look no further. Shonda Rhimes’ How to Get Away With Murder will leave you ripping at the seams. Annalise Keating is a force of nature, brilliant and determined. As a professor of law and criminal defense attorney, she teaches a course called “How to Get Away With Murder,”,and selects five of her best students to assist with sensitive cases at her firm. To much of these students’ surprise, they become entangled in a never-ending murder spree that will change the direction of their lives as they know it.

It is only fitting that I rank Grey’s Anatomy as number 1. This medical drama will have you feeling all the feels, all the way from season 1 to season 15. The doctors of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital encounter loss both professionally and personally on a regular basis — it’s through one another that they find solace, friendship, and even love. Together, they’re unearthing that neither medicine nor life in general can be defined in black and white. Reality only comes in shades of grey. Grey’s Anatomy is a story of love, loss and everything in between. I promise, you will not regret giving it a shot.

She is the first woman to create 3 shows with more than 100 episodes each. Shonda, if nothing else, is a visionary for all women everywhere.
