The weather here in Syracuse has been unpredictable this fall. One day it’s pouring rain and chilly, then the next day it’s sunny. It is hard to find the perfect outfit when you don’t know how to dress for this fall weather. However, I do have some tips on how you should layer up, while still looking stylish on campus.

Try a jean jacket. These are versatile and can be worn with anything underneath. You could throw a sweater on under it if it’s supposed to be colder, or a t-shirt if it may be a little warmer. Not to mention the denim-on-denim trend is coming back. Honestly, you can match a jean jacket with almost anything!

To add an extra layer, you could try also throw on a vest. Some of my favorites are the variety sold from J.Crew factory, but I have also been loving faux fur vests. These can keep you nice and warm for the fall season, and dress up your outfit.

Another trend seen all over college campuses this fall are bomber jackets. These lightweight jackets can be a staple to an outfit in addition to keeping you warm walking to class. They come in a variety of styles and colors, but some of my favorites can be found at Urban Outfitters and boohoo.com, for a more reasonable price.

Lastly, for those mornings where you can barely get out of bed because you are so cold, all you need is a warm sweatshirt! Some of my favorites are Adidas and Champion hoodies with another layer underneath. Also, you can never go wrong with an oversized Syracuse pullover or a True Grit sweatshirt. These quarter zip Sherpa jackets will act as a blanket for you walking across campus.

Next time you are choosing an outfit before your 8 A.M, but need to stay warm, consider these layering options while creating your ultimate fall look!
