Top Underrated Carly Rae Jepsen Songs

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bates chapter.

Most of us know Carly Rae Jepsen from her 2012 hit “Call Me Maybe,” or maybe from her 2014 Broadway stint as Cinderella in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella.”

But did you know that CRJ has a lot of other music? A lot of really good music? Allow me to enlighten you and introduce you to some of her best underrated songs.

“Run Away With Me”

You may recognize this jam from Vines like this one:

Nevertheless, it’s such a good song and an awesome mood-booster.

“Cut To The Feeling”

This is one of her newer songs; it came out in 2017. Highly recommend.

“Tonight I’m Getting Over You”

A bubbly anthem to moving on from someone.

“Take A Picture”

Another great example of CRJ’s combination of driving beats and catchy vocals.

“Party For One”

Since this self-love anthem and ultimate jam was released two days ago on November 1, I’ll forgive people for not yet knowing about it. For now. This song is a guaranteed good time; it makes me want to dance my butt off, and you can bet that any time I have the aux cord at a party, this will be on the queue. I’ve already listened to it at least 30 times, and I have no regrets.
