With Halloween just around the corner, you will probably find yourself scrambling to put together an easy (and cheap) costume. Before you settle for the oh-so-basic bodysuit and animal ears look, try mixing it up with one of these simple yet cute costume suggestions.

1. Not-So-Scary Scarecrow
This is a really simple and cute costume if you have a flannel shirt laying around. All you need is a long-sleeved flannel shirt (preferably a cute plaid pattern), a pair of cut-off overalls, some long stockings or tights, and a little bit of face paint. Top the outfit off with a straw hat and some boots and you’re all set! You could also pull this look off with a pair of jeans if you don’t own any overalls.

2. Sabrina The “Broke AF” Witch
This very un-elaborate costume will put a spell on you (but not your wallet)! Dust off that little black dress from the back of your closet, pull out your sexy black tights and throw on a pair of black heels or boots for a simple gothic look. All you will need to complete your witchy look is a cheap pointed hat and voila! You have now channeled your inner Sabrina without breaking the bank.

We’ve all seen it, the basic Rosie the Riveter costume. Although we all love Rosie and her encouraging message, it’s no question that this costume has been done a lot. Nevertheless, this costume is super-duper simple to pull off so when push comes to shove, it’s better than missing out on that epic Halloween party. This outfit requires only three things, a blue-collared t-shirt, a red bandana, and some cherry red lipstick; so go ahead and rock one of our favorite historical figures, we won’t judge.

4. Wednesdays Are For Pink (And Also Halloween)
Lucky for us, Halloween 2018 actually fell on a Wednesday this year. You know what that means! If you and your girl gang are lacking in the Halloween costume idea department, then fret not! Your Halloween costumes will be “so fetch” with a dash of pink. Channel your inner Regina George and throw on your pinkest of outfits; we’re talking pink mini skirts, t-shirts, blazers, heels, and purses. You and your gal-pals will steal the limelight with your iconic look.

5. An Alien Costume Out Of This World (But Not Out Of Budget)
Last year, our Instagrams were full of photos of girls partying with holographic mini skirts and top buns. Although this look might be “so last year”, it was popular for a reason! This costume is super simple to throw together. All you will need to look “out of this world” is something holographic (a top, mini skirt, dress, or bodysuit), some bomb highlighter, and two tiny top buns for your hair. You can add some fishnet tights for a sexy addition.
