Fall is in full swing, meaning the weather is getting colder and our outfits are getting warmer. Out with the tank tops and sandals, in the with layers and booties. Here are some of my absolute favorite pieces for those perfect days when the air is crisp and the sunshine is beaming down.

1. Hair Accessories

Hair Scarf $12

Scala Braided Trim Hat $35

I am a sucker for a good hair scarf. They come in countless colors, styles and materials. They can be worn around the ponytail, in a half up style, as a headband and in so many other fun ways. Plus, they add the cutest flare to any type of outfit. What’s not to love?! Hats are also becoming such a causal way to spice up a look. Floppy hats, fiddler hats, beanies, berets… there’s bound to be something for everyone.

2. Scarves

Flannel Blanket Scarf $17

Floral Print Silk Scarf $49

Definitely something that will never go out of style. Scarves can literally be tailored to any sort of outfit or style preference. There are blanket scarves, cape scarves, infinity scarves, scarves with beading or embroidery, neckties, etc., the list could go on forever. Just another simple way to jazz up an outfit or stay warm, while seamlessly staying stylish. Nothing beats fashion and functionality, am I right?

3. Layers

Canvas Fleet Jacket $98

Fluffy Rib Cardigan $56

Whether your style favors jean jackets, canvas jackets and cardigans or leather jackets, bombers and flannels, it’s an undeniable fact that fall is the perfect time to sport these pieces. Another category that serves fashion and functionality, throwing on a top layer can take an outfit from drab to fab in the blink of an eye. If you want to get real crazy with it, layer your layers for more dimension and sass.

4. Closed-Toe Shoes

Leather Fur Loafer $25

Olive Boots $28

One of my least favorite parts of the weather getting colder is squeezing my feet into restricted feeling shoes to stay warm. Since I have to do that, you bet they’re going to be cute shoes. I love how much choice you can put into your shoes and how simply they can change or add to the vibe of an outfit. There are more and more fashionable sneakers being made, loafers are gaining some momentum and let us not forget the trusty go-to bootie.

I think it goes without saying that fall is the perfect time to look effortlessly trendy. It’s so easy to make a simple outfit look like a thoughtfully pieced together with any of these fall wardrobe must-haves. So, make sure your closet is full of these items before the weather gets too cold and we’re stuck wearing puffy coats and snow boots!
