We have all been in that situation where we are hungry but too lazy to leave our dorm! Snacks are essential for college life. Here are some college food staples that should be in your dorm.

Oatmeal

It is a breakfast staple filled with nutrients, fiber, and has enough fuel to get your morning or afternoon started. It is healthy, and you could have it in so many different ways. You can add fruits, nuts, chocolate, or even some spices.

Favorite Fruit

Fruit is essential when being an on-the-go person, and I personally do not know a college student that isn’t always on-the-go. It is easy to grab an apple or a banana and be able to eat them as snacks later. If you are running late for class, or just don’t have the time to eat, grabbing some fruit can help you get some nutrients and energy to make it a little further in your day.

Breakfast Bars or Granola Bars

Granola bars are easy to eat anywhere and are very easy to grab and go! Although there are very unhealthy granola or breakfast bars, there are some that are a lot healthier. It’s all about checking the nutrition labels in order to continue a healthy, on-the-go lifestyle.

Water

Drink lots of water. Drinking water is so important, it is the thing that keeps you going. Our body is made up of mostly water, so, water is definitely needed to continue to flush out and replace it.

Healthy Snacks

Having healthy snacks around is super helpful when you do not have enough time to sit down and eat. Healthy snacks such as popcorn, carrots, and cherry tomatoes are great to keep in hand.
