On November 30, Her Campus at UCLA had the incredible opportunity of attending the infamous 102.7 KIIS FM Jingle Ball. We loved rocking out to Cardi B, Shawn Mendes, Calvin Harris, Camila Cabello, Khalid, Dua Lipa, G-Eazy, Alessia Cara, Bazzi and Bebe Rexha. We were also able to speak to a few of our favorites on the red carpet, including Kendall Schmidt and Dustin Belt from Heffron Drive, Blake Hortsmann from Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette and Corinne Olympios from Nick Viall’s season of The Bachelor. The highlight of the night was putting together a lip sync video of The Bachelor and Vanderpump Rules cast members singing along to Ariana Grande’s iconic “thank u, next.”
We talked to Heffron Drive members Kendall and Dustin about their newly released single “Black on Black,” their performance on the KIIS FM Jingle Ball Village stage and their favorite memories from their annual white elephant gift exchange. Dustin’s favorite gift he ever received was a live fish that was fully wrapped in Christmas wrapping paper.
When it comes to cuffing season tips, Blake said that the most important thing is to “honestly be yourself and don’t try to come up with any fancy lines.” This question was initially a little trickier for Corinne to answer because she thought we asked if she had any tips for “cupping season.” After confirming that we asked her about “cuffing season,” Corinne said that it’s crucial “not to rush into anything and to take your time getting to know the person.” She reminded us that it’s the little things that matter, “not the gifts or fancy schmancy stuff.”

Bebe Rexha opened the show looking like a glowing goddess in her beautiful sparkly white dress and got the party started with her hits “I’m a Mess” and “Meant to Be.”
Camila Cabello is always a crowd pleaser, and the L.A. crowd welcomed her with open arms. Camila sang her hits “Havana,” “Consequences,” “Never Be The Same” and “Bad Things.” She even impressed the crowd with her raw vocals on the classic tear-jerker “Can’t Help Falling in Love” after she gave an emotional speech about how she is a self-described hopeless romantic who loves the idea of love in all forms.
Dua Lipa stole the show in her incredible angle-cut, green-tassel dress. Gracing us with her presence, she sang “Electricity,” “One Kiss,” “New Rules” and “IDGAF” which got the whole crowd shouting her lyrics.
The night concluded with Cardi B, a true show stopper. After performing her first song of the night, “Drip,” she brought out her hubby, Offset, and said “I’m tired. I have asthma. Hubby sing for me.” After Offset sang a few verses, Cardi praised him by saying “He’s so fine. That’s my baby daddy.” She continued to rock the stage with her songs “Money,” “I Like It,” “Finesse” and “Bodak Yellow.” The crowd was 100% turnt on Cardi when the concert ended shortly before midnight.
The 2018 102.7 KIIS FM Jingle Ball did not disappoint, and we cannot wait for next year!
