It is officially the holiday season, so that means it’s time to watch some Christmas movies to get you even more in the spirit of the season. However, this season, let’s avoid watching the super cheesy, straight-to-Netflix movies and stick to the classics that will definitely make you happy and provide you with the warmth and nostalgia that you all deserve for this month.

1. How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Favorite line: “Maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas means a little bit more.”

2. A Christmas Story

Favorite line: “Christmas had come officially. We plunged into the cornucopia quivering with desire and the ecstasy of unbridled avarice.”

3. Scrooge

Favorite line: “I will start anew / I will make amends / and I will make quite certain / that the story ends / on a note of hope / on a strong amen / and I’ll thank the world / and remember when / I was able to begin again!”

4. Elf

Favorite line: “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.”

5. A Charlie Brown Christmas

Favorite line: “I never thought it was such a bad little tree. It’s not bad at all, really. Maybe it just needs a little love.”

6. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

Favorite line: “When someday you return to Christmas Town, would you tell Santa about our homeless toys? I’m sure he will find little boys and girls who will be happy with them. A toy is never truly happy until it is loved by a child.”

7. Home Alone

Favorite line: “This is extremely important. Will you please tell Santa that instead of presents this year, I just want my family back.”

8. Arthur Christmas

Favorite line: “Yes! Do believe in Santa. He is real! He is the greatest man ever! And he can get around the world to every child without a single reindeer getting roasted ali— hurt. I assure you, by the time the sun rises on Christmas morning, he will surely get to you using his special magic.”

I hope you all enjoy these movies as much as I do. They are the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit and ready for Christmas, which is just around the corner!
