Christmas in coming up fast, so we need to get in all the Christmas music we can now before the holidays are over! Here are ten songs we have on repeat!

  1. Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) by Darlene Love- One of the most underrated Christmas songs in my opinion. It has a little bit of everything, and automatically puts you in a Christmas-y mood.
  2. Jingle Bell Rock by Daryl Hall and John Oates-This one is a classic, and one of my all time favs. I will forever associate it with the Mean Girls scene, which just so happens to be one of my favorite movies. This song will get anyone with a soul dancing. (Kidding, of course.)
  3. Merry Christmas from the Family by Robert Earl Keene- Hands down my favorite on this list. Also, probably one of the least popular. My family has been playing this for as long as I remember, and to be honest, it represents my family well. I can’t go a Christmas without listening to it. If you haven’t heard it, go listen, and don’t you dare judge me for loving it.
  4. I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas by The Drifters- Though covered by many artists, this version is my absolute favorite. That probably has to do with it being on the Home Alone soundtrack, though. I recently watched “White Christmas” for the first time, and fell in love with the song all over again.
  5. Mr. Grinch by Thurl Ravenscroft- If you don’t know this song by heart, I wouldn’t touch you with a 39 and 1/2 foot pole. Kidding. Mostly. This song was on my iPod shuffle when I was seven. Yeah, I really listened to it year round. A classic, truly. Dr. Seuss doesn’t disappoint, my friends.
  6. Feliz Navidad by Jose Feliciano- My Uncle Tommy was from Mexico, and when I was little he would try to teach me a little bit of Spanish every time he saw me. He was always so proud when I could remember, so this song holds a special place in my heart as it reminds me of him.
  7. Where Are You Christmas? by Taylor Momsen- Yeah, I know, another Grinch song. For all my Gossip Girl fans out there, this is sung by miss Jenny Humphrey, who played Cindy Lou Who in the 2000 version of the movie. I love this song because, growing up in Texas, its relatable. It is mi-December and it is just now getting consistently cold.
  8. Hot Chocolate by Tom Hanks- I’ll admit it, this song is just flat out fun. I can’t drink hot chocolate without thinking of The Polar Express… which even if you don’t like the movie, you have to appreciate the soundtrack.
  9. Mistletoe by Justin Beiber- I mean, do I really need to explain this one? A classic, truly.
  10. Believe by Josh Groban- Okay, I snuck in a second song from The Polar Express… but can you really blame me? This song is one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard, and coming from someone that stopped believing in Santa at a young age, I think it has a powerful message without the movie behind it.

We at Her Campus UNT want to say Happy Holidays to all our readers, and we will see you again in the new year. HCXO!
